While we wait on the Ice Cream Sandwich Galaxy S 2 for the first quarter 2012, LG has released some information about the availability of the updated ICS Android 4.0 for its Android devices.
The updates will be deployed during the second quarter of 2012 for some terminals, then it was not until the third quarter for other devices.
Here is the list:
- Second quarter: Optimus LTE, Prada Phone by LG 3.0, Optimus 2X, Optimus Sol, LG Touch my Q, LG Eclipse
- Third quarter: 3D Optimus, Optimus Black, Big Optimus, Optimus and Optimus EX Q2
LG reminds us that the updates arrive at different times depending on your type of terminal operator in the pack or not.
It’s good to have given this information, even if the news is not good. The delays seem to me far too long, it is especially frustrating to see that the terminals such as 3D or Black the 2012 school year will have to wait to eat the sandwich cold … we are still in 2011!
Of course, you will certainly the opportunity to flash your device under ICS by then, with an unofficial ROM (Alpha versions already exist for 2X ).
