last week we have given you a comparison between the Galaxy S2 and Sony Xperia S , Today We will give you an other comparaison between the big HTC One X and the Sony Xperia S .
Design
Sony Xperia S-128x64x10.6mm, 144g
The Sony Xperia S is almost the symbol of the absorption of partner Ericsson, whose name accompanied all previous Xperia models.
Xperia has enough style to relate to their predecessors, but at the same time and clearly this is a new generation with more than a nod to the aesthetics of other Sony electronics.
The result is a device a little more chunky and angular than its immediate predecessor, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. It has borders wider and flatter, making it look more substantial, but generally keeps the Xperia elegant form so familiar to fans. Its build quality also feels more powerful by using better plastics.
HTC One X – 134.4×69.9×8.9mm, 130g
The HTC One X is an important step toward differentiation compared to previous designs boring. Like Sony, HTC has used better quality plastics that give a sense of class, and slightly bending the chassis edges sinuous looks fantastic.
A black panel houses the screen, so that only a thin strip of the frame is visible from the edges, giving it a very modern look.
We believe that both phones are equally beautiful, though their styles are different.
Winner – Equality
Screen
The HTC One X has a capacitive multi-touch screen Super IPS LCD2 of 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a density of 321 ppi. This results in excellent image quality and can say it is one of the best screens currently available on Android phones.
One X screen can be one of the best, but not necessarily the best. The Xperia S has a capacitive touch LCD screen somewhat smaller, measuring 4.3 inches, but includes LED backlighting and the same resolution as your rival, so that the density of pixels, 342ppi, is incredibly high.
Winner – Sony Xperia S
storage
Both devices have 32 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM to support the processor. None takes micro SD slot for memory expansion.
Winner – Equality
processor
The Sony Xperia S uses an ARM Cortex-A9 dual core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon MSM8260 chipset on Qualcomm and S3 graphics processing unit (GPU) Adreno 220. It is not only power but also very efficient, as in previous phones Xperia, Sony has things pretty well optimized and the result is a rewarding experience and quickly.
The HTC One X uses a quad-core processor Nvidia Tegra 3 to 1.5 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 and ULP GPU Nvidia GeForce. It’s a surprisingly quick setup, you have to see to believe. Have no problem in dealing with modern applications and intense games for a long time.
However, it should be noted that when using multitasking, navigate the home screen and use normal applications and low profile probably will not notice the difference between the two devices.
However, things change when running intensive tasks such as graphics-intensive games or streaming HD movies. The Tegra 3 of HTC One X really be felt when these actions are executed in multitasking with other processes.
Currently there is not much in Google Play really demands the best of these settings, but on paper the HTC One X is better and is more prepared for the future.
Winner – HTC One X
Operating System
Sony Xperia S comes with the Android 2.3 operating system and an overlay Gingerbread interface Timescape Sony, but will soon upgrade to the latest version, Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.
The HTC One X already comes with Ice Cream Sandwich, which is an immediate advantage because the yield is much higher than the old version and offers useful new features, better distribution and better overall design.
For now, the HTC One X wins this round to have a platform now, but soon the Xperia S is also updated.
Winner – HTC One X
Camera
The HTC One X comes with an 8 megapixel camera, a back-illuminated sensor (BSI) and a resolution of 3264×2448 pixels.
The overlap interface HTC Sense 4.0 and are dedicated chip that can record 1080p HD video and still images simultaneously. Another good trick is that you can pull the trigger and take up to 20 still images in rapid succession. Then, the phone can tell you what is the best shot.
Other features include auto focus, touch focus, geo-tagging, face detection and smile capture panoramic, HDR, white balance, digital zoom, LED flash, video stabilization and video recording with stereo sound. It also has a secondary front camera of 1.3 megapixels capable of recording 720p video and make video calls.
All this is fine, but the Sony Xperia S has a main chamber 12 megapixel BSI with a resolution of 4000×3000 pixels. Now we know that numbers are not everything, but having seen the two cameras in action, we can say that the quality of the Sony camera is superior.
As for features, has LED flash, video light, autofocus, touch focus, image stabilization and video geo-tagging, face detection and smile capture panoramic video continuous auto focus.
Records video in 1080p and has a 1.3 megapixel secondary camera that records at 720p.
Configuration to Sony they really give us a very powerful smartphone .
Winner – Sony Xperia S
Conclusion
The Sony Xperia S is a fantastic phone and in some respects is superior to the HTC One X, as in the screen and the camera, however, equivalent to the ONE X are also excellent. The Xperia S device is very well finished.
However, although the Sony processor is competent and will work almost the same level as that of the One X with normal use, the One X offers the ability latent characteristic of high-end cell perfectly capable of handling games with the quality of a console and perform other tasks in the not too distant future.
Both are equal in terms of user experience, and we believe that both are perfectly valid options.
